Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Got recommendation to try sarawak laksa here. It is indeed delicious. The broth is yummy and just nice. Wish they put the ‘jeruk limo’ on the empty spoon instead to the chilly sauce. We also order chicken kolo mee. Not bad… And claypot porride, which is not too bad… can feel the rice. Not smooth creamy type. the claypot porride has some minced meat, salted egg and centry egg. We need to mix the flavor by ourselves."
"Tried out the famous sarawak laksa here and it really amazed me. The broth was thick and flavourful. Teh c special was good too."
"Value for money. Open every day and sceptics on some public holiday. Highly recommended for Laksa Sarawak ~ RM8 per regular bowl."
"Ordered $8 laksa, diluted gravy. Kolo mee $5 no ingredient. Toast too sweet. Prawn cracker decent. Nasi lemak not fragrant. I won’t recommend."
"Loved the popiah — super crunchy and the fillings were really tasty. I tried their seaweed roll popiah too, it was nice but I still prefer the original. It comes with sweet sauce, but honestly you don’t even need it. Solid 4/5 ⭐ The lady who sells the amazing mee goreng wasn’t around You guys should really try her mee goreng next time — it’s sooo good! Wontons was ok i guess 2.5/5⭐ Also tried the roti kahwin at one of the stalls. Service from all the stall staff was very fast and efficient As for the laksa, the mihun was nice and springy (which I like), but overall I’d give it 3.5/5 ⭐"
"Coffee shop that serves a wide variety of local food. From thick toast to popiah to kolo mee and laksa. Laksa seem to be the most offered and it didn't disappoint. Popiah has a nice twist with crispy bits, which is different from Singapore or Peninsula Malaysia."
"A decent place to have breakfast here for mee kolok and laksa sarawak. They do serve other kind of foods too like bread, mee jawa, fritters and so on. Expect some short queue on weekends. And they dont serve pork here. Hehe."
"Found this place near the hotel I stayed. Been wanting to try popiah but a few of the places I went weren't open so I decided to visit here to try my luck. Was just a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Arrived pretty early before 730 and there was already quite a lot of people. I head about the popiah and toast here and decided to give it a try. Luckily the popiah stall was opened. Ordered an original one and the other with the seaweed skin. From another stall ordered the toast and the teh c special. First came the teh c and the toast. Loved the way the tec c is served here, quite an interesting layering and looks sweet but isn't actually sweet. The toast was quite good, almost blew me away. Loved the crispiness and the rich kaya taste. Then came the popiah. Tasted pretty good though the sweet sauce was quite different from what I expected it wasn't sweet. The taste was quite light. On the other hand, the seaweed one tasted better cause I think the main reason was the seaweed had pretty good flavour which enhanced the taste of the popiah. Regretted ordering 2 I didn't expect it to be so filling, it looked quite small from the ones I saw people eating so I decided to get 2. It was a good breakfast experience here and I enjoyed the food and drinks here. Still quite a few other stalls worth venturing but was too full for that. Cheap and good. Recommended."
